Life has been pretty ho hum the past few weeks. Work as had a few more layoffs, so thats not been good for moral. Work is slow so we are all worried about our jobs. Girls camp is next week, so i can stop running around with my head cut off. Why do girls make such a big deal about everythin. Boy go to scout camp, go shopping the night before no list, crafts, handouts, skits or anything. The all come back and have a good time. HAHAHAHA My Broncidis (SP) is getting alot better. I can finally cough or sneeze without peeing my pants. I am headed to Wendys tonight for scrapbooking ect.... and Morgans baptism. Sorry so ramdom and boring.

MONSTERS, MONSTERS EVERYWHERE!!!!!

ANY ONE?????? I thought this was a wierd, funny promotion!!!!!

These are the critters i am making for my girls camp. The are to help the girls to remember PJ'S-- PRAYER, JOURNAL and SCRIPTURES. Hopefull they will put them on their bed or in the room to help them remember it. We are making these are the campout if any one is interested. I have most of the supplys. If you have any cute embelishments, PLEASE bring them. I need to think of a way to put pj's on the critters. Be thinking?????

CRAZY CRAZY WEEK

Why when women go camping we make such a big deal. Guy thinks we are crazy. All the planning and running around we are doing for girls camp. I have a sore throat and i think a fever. And i am so tired. I have been watching HEROS (the television series) (thanks Liz for all you computer help checking then out for me at the library). I really like it. (not 24 but it is still pretty good).

I am getting really excited for the camp out!!!!! Only 5 more days. Will everyone please go through their fabric scraps and bring them we have a really cute craft idea. We need:

STUFFING (I HAVE ONE BAG)
BUTTONS
YARN
RIBBON
ANY THING FUN TO ADD TO THESE CUTE LITTLE MONSTERS!!!!!

OFFICALLY A SENIOR

You are now all the aunts and friends of a SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT!!!!!! Gosh, you are all so old. Brittanys last day of school was yesterday. Whew only one more year. She is looking for a summer job if any one knows of one!!!!!!

UPPER CASE LIVING VINYL DECOR PARTY

I am having an Upper Case Living Party. It is June 3rd at 7:00 pm. When Becky had her party i ignored her emails, thinking i already had all the vinyls i need. On the day of her show i reluctantly opened the email up and much to my surprise. I LOVED THEM!!!!!! Someone with some real design sense created these. They are so cute.

TO DYE OR NOT TO DYE

Guy always tells me not to dye my hair. He likes it natural. (WIERD) (it hasn't been natural really since i have known him 20 plus years) i finally dyed it again after my regrowth had reached epic proportions. I decided i didn't want to look like a 60 to 90 year old woman before i really need to. And since i am so wrinkly (according to ERIN) Maybe dyeing my hair is the only way to ward off the years. COMMENTS ANYONE?????????????????????

WILD AND CRAZY WEEK END

Thursday Guy got home from Georgia. He had a pretty good time. Since he is such a social butterfly he is glad to be home and sleep in his own bed (airmatress) hahahha

We had camp kickoff thursday night. It went really well. The drill sargent theme went over big.

Sunday we went with the McDermaid side of the family to Logan to put flowers on the graves. Brittany had to stop at the Hill Air Force Mus. for extra credit in History. We met the family at the cemetary. (logan brings back such fond memorys of me) I loved my time at school at USU. And i love the family history in Logan. After the cemetary we went to Adams park for Lunch. Caught up with the cousins (which is always fun). Then we headed for Jeanettes in Garland. A short 30 min from Logan for Family Home Evening. We had a great meal, good lesson and fun catching all sorts of critters. (Boring Aunt Lauras house only has potato bugs) Thanks JEANETTE AND BRAD. We even had a little show thanks to TRAVIS. :D

DAVID ARCHULETAS BIG DAY

I know this is a little late. But i had to post about David Archuleta. He did so so so good tuesday night. It brought me to tears. I can only imagine how he felt. Poor little lamb. Wednesday we decieded to joint the excitement at the Energy Solutions Arena. We heard on the radio that KBULL was giving a thousand dollars for the best sign or t-shirt. So we all clicked into action. Becky and Erin made really cute signs and I was going for size and K-Bull Name recognition. (mine was 5 poster boards long.) There were a lot of people their, including a mean lady (worked for american idol) that made me take the K-Bull part off my sign, made the kids not hold up their signs, sit down etc. But all in all we had a great time. If David Archuleta would have only won.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Brittany is obsessed with taking pictures of her eyes. Arent they BEAUTIFUL. It always amazes me that her eyes were so so blue when she was a baby and now if anything they are HAZEL. Wierd.

OHHH!!! I love being in love with the man i have known for 20+ years. People talk about thier list of 5 people they can make out with (or whatever with) and thier spouse would be fine. I have never had a list like that. GUY IS IT FOR ME. I know i complain and make fun of Him. I love him so so much. When he ride his bike up sand mountain fast or wears hid baseball cap backwards. I feel like that teenage girl that fell head over hill in love with him.

Maybe i am being sappy cuz, he left for Georgia this morning. Brittany and i will have fun with out him. But i will miss him terribly.

Guy left for GEORGIA this morning at 8:30 a.m. we dropped him off at the airport at 6:30 a.m. He called us by 6:50 and was already checked in (we had heard hoar storys about how long check in and security) He did arrive noonish in Greorgia safe and sound.

The yardsale at Moms was very productive. I made $275.00 just for cleaning out the shed and Brittanys room. BONUS.

IDEA FOR GIRLS CAMP

This is a scripture book mark. The lighthouse is the theme for Girls Camp. (i colored shrinky dinks with colored pencils) The red bead represent R.E.D. READ EVERY DAY. (a theme we will introduce at Girls Camp) and the star at the end for Steadfast and Immovable. It looks so cute in the scriptures. I used fishing line for the string. Sorry the picture is so blurry.

I want to do a questionnaire like we did at my camp out a few years ago. I need help thinking of questions for it.

DAVID ARCHULETA DAY

Friday David Archuleta-(one of the last 3 contestants on american idol for the LAY) came back to Utah. At Meridian we spent the morning working on this sign. David was expected to go to Murray High School at 4:00 and we wanted to show our support and hoped for a chance to maybe get our building on the news or even the mother-lode AMERICAN IDOL. Brittany stayed after school and waited for him to come. She said their were a lot of people their but they had a good time.

David sang three song and did a great job. She was telling people her and David were getting married next month on the beach. And the little girl were getting angry with her. They wanted to marry him. HAHAHA It is neat to watch David progress with American Idol. When he sings or gives an interview i get a little tear cuz he is one of us. (not in a wierd way kinda like elsie Ha ha)

BRITTANY SARAH LEWIS

Brittany-----because Guy and I couldn't agree on anything. I liked Jessica, Meg, etc.... But he could think of horrible nick for every thing i could come up with. (with a name like Guy who could blame him) We were about to leave the hospital and they would charge you extra if the baby didnt have a name before you left. So we reluctantly agreed on BRITTANY.

Sarah--- is Guys moms name. So she is named after her.

WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!

It started out Monday night. I left work early because Brittany had an ortho appointment. (hopefully one of her last). After she was done I decided to sneak some flowers from OKABOUS.
We got done picking out our flats of zinnias, paid and headed to the car. Looked down and i had a flat tire. Brittany was excited because she had just learned how to change a tire in Auto Mechanics at School. So she proceeded to get the job done. A nice gentleman stopped and asked us if we needed help. The lug nuts we on really tight so Brittany reluctantly handed him the wrench (????NOT SURE OF WHAT ITS CALLED?????) He snapped the lug nut right off. (and we had just got new tires at Discount Tires and the failed to mention that they had snapped a lug nut off too) We decided not to try any further and called mom to come take us home to wait for Guy to help. Guy go home, we went back to the car armed with a tool box and WD-40 and with a little elbow grease he got the remaining 3 bolts off and we were on our way.

Tuesday morning we got up, Guy left for work early 6:30. Brittany and i headed out at 7:00 (like usual) and we backed out of the driveway to a wierd sound. Brittany got out of the truck and looked at the back tire and it was flat as a pancake. We pulled back in and proceed to change the tire. It took us 1 1/2 hrs but we did it!!!!!! Brittany was amazing, auto mechanics is really paying off. HAHAHHAHA We got the 2 flat tires in the back of the truck, got ready to put the key in the ignition and OH MY HECK locked the keys in the house. CURSES Lucky thing i left the front room window open a crack. She shimmied her way up the ladder and got into the house and retrieved the keys.

Needless to say by the time i got to work by 9:00, i was ready to go home and take a nap.

HOPEFULLY TODAY WILL BE A BETTER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure was a nice weekend!!!! Beautiful weather!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!

Friday night we went to moms to "Scrapbook" but no one was in the mood, so we just sat and talked and laughed. I think mom might have peed a little (she has such a bad cough that when she laughs she coughs very hard). But it always fun to get together with my sisters!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday we got the back gardens edges cut out (Brittany hates this spring ritual but it makes the garden beds so much prettier). We watch 27 DRESSES afterwards. That was a really cute movie. Kindof a combo of how to loose a guy in ten day and i dont know what. I liked it (i wont be buying it though)

Sunday i taught my sunbeams ( i sure do enjoy them) One of my boys usually tells me he loves me but Sunday he had to give me a kiss. It was right during sharing time with the stake leaders in attendance. sigh!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe that is a way to get released. HAHAHAH

I have just been call to be Assitant Camp Director. If anyone has ideas for a lighthouse theme. please let me know.

SPRING TIME IN UTAH

I am so ready for it to really be spring. My grass is finally green, the tulips and daffidills are blooming. My magnolia bush looks beautiful. And it is snowing and probally froze everything. Oh man. Sometimes i wish we still lived in Phoenix. Think of the beautiful gardens we could have there!!!!!!

I need to give KRISTA props. She is the one who made Brittany so so so pretty for Jr. Prom.
She did her hair, nails and make-up. (yes i said nails) It took a few hours but boy was Brittany a knock-out.

MY NEW BLOG

Thanks to Liz and Mickie Spence at Meridian, I now have a really cute blog. I will try and keep up with the rest of you, with your posts. But i am still learning all this fancy computer stuff. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

JUNIOR PROM

This is Brittany and Dan Fallis going to Murray High Schools Junior Prom. (yes I know I am disappointed about the no jacket thing too) :) They went to see the movie Prom Night (ooh scary!!!!) Then ate dinner at our house with Chocolate Fondue for dessert. At Murray they do this weird thing called Promenade, Brittany didn't want to do it because you had to be promenaded by another junior. So they made due and Dan presented her separately. Oh sweet.
If you ask Brittany she had a FABULOUS time.
